The following materials explain consent and confidentiality considerations related to key issues in the health care of minors – contraception, abortion, STIs and HIV, mental health, substance use, gender affirming care, and insurance confidentiality. They also provide an overview of the most relevant federal laws related to confidentiality and disclosure of minors’ health information. Two charts offer information about the laws in all states. The materials were created as appendices to the Compendium but also serve as stand alone resources on these topics of national interest.
